WHY IS THE YOGA ROOM HOT?
The heat and humidity reduces the
risk of injury while practicing and forces circulation to all parts of
your body. Your body begins to detoxify through sweating and at the same
time boosts your immune system.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE BIKRAM YOGA? Daily practice is recommended. Practicing you first 10 classes as close together as possible is encouraged.
WHAT IF I AM NOT FLEXIBLE OR ATHLETIC? Bikram Yoga is designed for everyone of any age, any shape. You come to practice to gain flexibility. Please inform the instructor of any major issues you may have so we can do our best to let this practice serve you.
CAN I PRACTICE BIKRAM YOGA WHILE I AM PREGNANT? It is not recommended to practice during the first trimester. Individuals who have had a strong practice prior to pregnancy can return to practice in their second or third trimester. Please inform the instructor if you are pregnant and we will guide you through the modified postures.
CAN I BRING ANY PROPS INTO CLASS? In Bikram Yoga there is just you and your yoga mat. You work with what you have without any external props to help you. The structure of Bikram Yoga allows your body to use its creative intelligence and natural resistance to realign, tone and restore everything back to perfect order.
